So how does Talent Acquisition work? You just post the job ad and look at the applications right? Well, not quite. It’s a lot more involved than that. The first step in the process when any job becomes available is a very detailed consultation between the TA Consultant and the Hiring Manager. In this meeting, the job requirements, qualifications, skills and experience of the ideal candidate, interview process, and the recruitment strategy are discussed in great detail.
The TA Consultant then implements that recruitment strategy. This will involve posting a job and evaluating applications received. It may also involve but is not limited to; accessing candidates in the consultant’s network, soliciting referrals, speaking to internal candidates ready for their next career step, targeted external recruiting, and/or searching the database for suitable candidates.
